    Morning all.  Not raining yet, but it's forecast to be a wet day.  Must go shopping early, then I hope to do some sanding & filling around the staircase - can't ignore the state of the house any longer...  image

    Pat, is that the view from your house?  It's gorgeous!

    I've heard good things of Waterperry Gardens, Chicky.  Hope you enjoy your visit.

    Dove, hope you find your ma peaceful and comfortable.

    Best wishes to all image

    Hello folks - back from the GP - she's not too worried about my cholesterol, given my otherwise good health and the family longevity!!! image  Just got to try to get it down a bit over the next six months by 'being sensible' ........ I told her we have a holiday booked (didn't tell her it was Cornwall tho' image ... we'd better eat mackerel as well as clotted cream).  Also had one of those lady's ***** tests with the nurse - apparently that'll be my last one - not sure whether to be pleased or insulted image

    Now I'll have a big mug of coffee and see what you lot have been up to, then I'll set off to visit Ma.

    Pat - your view is gorgeous!

    Thanks Dove, Lirio and Joyce. Glad you like it.

    i hope Ma is Good.  We're watching meat consumption as well, because Hubby usually needs medication for cholesterol And his 6 monthly Dr appt is fast approaching. Amazing how that gives him incentive. image

    Good morning,

    have gradually caught up reading back in this thread over the weekend  how busy yiu have all been and so productive with seed trays cuttings and general gardening tasks I have a lot to do but we are three weeks behind weather wise so not too worried

    i am saddened to see how many have had health issues with themselves or family and I hope things are better than when I read.

    Chicky you have had a hideous time, I hope Mr Chicky feels better

    Lesley we flew to Chicago, loved that city, then down to LA where we connected with a ship and sailed down Mexico, Guatemala, Costo Rico, Panama ( thro canal which was main object of the trip, a childhood dream to do) then Colombio and sailed back up to Ft Lauderdale and home   Super things to see best memory was a giant turtle swimming along beside the sea!

    now it's back to reality, SM a necessity as no food here and dil and gd arrive tonight!

    might see if I can buy some  seedsimage

    Just mown the lawn, for first time this year, it has always been too wet up until now.

    2 hours of my life wasted, I thought men were supposed to like lawn mowing. I suppose it could be worse. { Hosta's lawn }
