    Not always, Snow - we've had 3 jackdaws down our chimney since we moved here 10 years ago, and no ill effects - apart from rather beautiful wing prints in soot on the living room ceiling...  image

    We had a tiny little bat in the house once. We thought it was a large moth. That was a crazy effort to get it to go out when we opened the door. I ended up getting the butterfly net and trying to catch it, but it zoomed out before I could catch it. image

    We were't as lucky with a little sugar glider that I found dead hanging from the barbed wire on our fence. It's little foot was tangled on the barb. It worried me for ages afterwards. If only I'd seen it earlier, I might have saved it.
