Back from daughter's. I babysat on Thursday as daughter took her OH out to dinner for his birthday present at Gordon Ramsey's restaurant in Bordeaux.
Daughter lives 1h15 from me, it was 15° and dry, OH says it rained here and was 12°.
I am getting seriously panicked. At least DD has until June to sort her garden, I have until the 8th May and either it's raining or I'm doing something else. Only came back from England last week, tomorrow going to a Saint George's Day lunch, Sunday church followed by a lunch, Monday a workshop on bereavement that I was asked to take part in as I was bereaved (wishing I'd refused). Tuesday a friend is coming to help me weed and the forecast is rain.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Hi Lizzie, your Open Day is even nearer than I thought, gosh that came around quickly! I could perhaps give you a day too weeding, any day except Wednesday or Thursdays, have to be back to get Charlie from school at 16:30 but could get a few hours in. Let me know the best time for you. ????
Hope Dove and WW are ok.
Fairy, I have wanted an 'extension' since we moved here, well a pool house but OH won't even discuss it, must be so good to be the one who makes the decisions even though with it comes the responsibility. Will be worth all the disruption in the end I'm sure even though probably doesn't seem like it right now.
Need to crack on with book club read now, just finished watching the Night Manager, loved it, although he was a twit for getting mixed up with the girl. ????
Good night all. ????

Yes, I know, only just left, and now he is back again. Just looking for some sympathy.
Wanted to thank you for the lovely PMs, so kind, it is nice to have friends.
I am angry, mostly at myself, for what has happened. I love a good argument, and I pride myself on my ability to argue. Sadly I seemed to lose the plot a bit, and just found myself getting more and more angry.
I need to have a think about how to deal with these things. The sensible answer would be to stick to gardening talk, and general chit chat, but sadly I have never been very sensible, so that is probably not an option.
I love the forum, I know it is rather pathetic, but it seems to be where my friends are, so I need to do some thinking about how to deal with things.
Have spent the day listening to Prince songs, and imagining what duets him and Bowie might have done. That really would have been a great gig.
Once again, thank you for your wise and friendly council.
Hope to see you soon.
No hard feelings Verdun.

yeah, but normally back by this time.
I hope everything is ok.
BL- just tell them you're going for that faded glamour that's so typical of French and Italian country gardens
You're right Hosta - unless they've gone for tea on the way home
