Already feeding them the meat flavoured cat biscuits and meal worms occasionally. Will now put out some of the sunflower hearts for a change, we already have some as the birds are fed with these. Shallow water bowls are placed around the garden.

They go in the feeding box for a feed, come out for a drink, then go back in a have another feed, if its not to cold tonight I will go out with the camera.

Well done Joy, you're doing a great job! I'm sure they really appreciate it. I would love to see more pictures, puts a smile on my face that's for sure.

I have a hedgehog hiberanting in my bark shreddrings does anyone know when it will wake up as I am rather fed up with having dumpy bags of bark shreddings in my front garden but having found the one hedgehog and quickly covered it up with the amount of shreddings I had removed before I found it I decidded that ther may be others so don't dare emptying any of them. I took a quick peek carefully last week and it is still there. I have checked, it is alive.

they seem to be awake now, maybe just daytime sleeps

try put some food out of a night and see if it goes etc

Like Bonsai says, try putting food out. It sounds like it's sleeping rather than hibernating (they literally barely have a heartbeat when they hibernate they look practically dead). Or it could be beginning to wake up, mine still hasn't. Give it another two weeks or so, after that you'd need to be careful as there could be early babies in there.

I thought the Hedgehog would of gone to find a mate, but no, he /she bought him round for tea. These are a lot bigger than the ones at the other feeding station, so I'm off now to build a bigger tea room. image
