  • Think there is a moth trap you can buy and put up in the tree earlier in the year to help with plums

Been to the allotment lots of strimming done today and yesterday and some weeding, paths and bits on plot look much better for being cut, found a few frogs jumping around

Did give some cauliflower leaves to chickens they like to jump for them

My pumkins are bigger will add pics soon ish

Have found someone on YouTube from a different site in Southampton to me started watching the video then noticed where it was at the end of a video, thought I recognise the site - it was one I went to last year for the plant sale

Gardengirl, not sure of size of fruit cage , bought 2nd hand , when up , will post picture and size

Green manure , first lot sown 16Aug , called Summer Mix and you mustn't let them flower , trim them or they I'll self seed , this is to build nitrogen , needs to be dug in after about 10 weeks

Secound lot 1st Sept , Gazing Rye , can be left in over winter , general soil improver , needs digging in , in Spring

    Both from Suffolk Herbs ?

  • Hi All,

Scroggin,,I couldn't risk leaving veg outside our house, we live near a school and I would imagine there would be tomato fights!! lol

I used up 1 kilo of tomato's yesterday by making passata to put in a curry sauce, and 2 kilo's of courgettes making to Kofta's to go with it, yumm!

still picking beans, toms, courgettes. Now have a tree full of pears to cope with, any suggestions!
