Went to the allotment today and we had car parking issues so many cars there or kinda parked and also have gained 3 rows of pallets quite high and the whole width of his plotl from the neighbour - so had to go to further away car park
Not sure what neighbour is building but they have been there since Tuesday so told - so should not be in car park but on his plot - but bet they will be there for a while as like he did with a pile of wood - we have told site rep
Done some feeding of plants and watering also bit of weed pulling and harvesting strawberries, peas, rest of broad beans, runner beans, cucumelons and a few black berries but can reach much as the brambles and weeds have grown back at the front of the hard graft done in pruning so need to cut them down
GWRS going to try and watch the shed of year part 2 not yet watched it
Hmm, sheds, I'm planning to get one, perhaps this winter. Not sure about what to put under it, though, as I don't want concrete foundations.
One of the old-timers told me that the soil on our site is really poor, which cheered me up, because it goes a long way towards explaining why I've had such poor crops. I'll need to think about raised beds and such for next year.
Aster , for my shed 8 by 6 I cleared and levelled ground , put weed membrane down and small slabs for the sheds bottom beams and put gravel over rest of membrane , then when shed up put chicken wire around bottom to stop our furry friends from living under neath
Did lay slabs in front of shed for a sitting area and put gravel around sides and back
What ever you do best of luck , a shed makes a big difference
Been up to plot to day to prune Summer Rasberry canes
Also took up some cheap bark clippings for putting around fruit trees
Planning on going to plot on Sunday
Hope alls well with everybody
ps.sun flowers are enormous ,will put picture on site
Went to the plot to water, about six sunflowers had been blown over, one had snapped. The others seemed to be still attached to their roots, so I stood them back up and secured them as best I could. Not sure they will live though...
Gardensuper Store is having a closing down sale, 20% off everything so bought an edging spade and some other bits
Took it easy this morning, sowing seeds, dead heading flowers and pruning fruit trees.
Came home with armfuls of flowers. Dahlias are doing really well. Picked my first mini pop. Sweet corn doesn't do well this far North, it's hit and miss, the growing season isn't always long enough.
Pumpkin plants, Chinese Lanterns are taking over, I was given the plants, they are green with stripes. ... didn't know pumpkins came in that colour...

Thanks, GWRS, that's really helpful. Doesn't it have to be "anchored" to the ground somehow? (I have zero knowledge of building.)
I'm looking forward to seeing the picture of sunflowers!
I used L shaped brackets to anchor my shed down.
