Was at allotment yesterday using the brush cutter on the strimmer to try and tackle the brambles at bottom of plot found plot sign again and also went around the plot a bit - need to use the strimmer on some parts of the plot - have got bad arms today more right shoulder thats the only problem with the petrol strimmer machine heavy got to remember to use it for small amount of time

Today went to allotment shop and brought 10 metres of weed matting, put it with a rolled up end over an area that we put a bit of horse manure on the other day - hope to keep the weeds out

Also met some new plot holders not far from shop and loo's they seemed to be doing well lots of bindweed pulling and bit of digging this is their first week, we gave them a cucamelon to try they liked it I harvested so many today great harvest from only 3 plants, I like them and will grow again

Harvested courgette today for tonight going to make it into spaghetti with peeler thing

Scroggin we harvest sweetcorn the other day for dinner tasted briliant so fresh and yummy

GWRS can you find another source?  bad luck on horse manure

Can I ask what things do any of you have next to your shed?

I grow rubarb next to one shed and the other has a row of pots, the water running off the roof keeps them watered.

Just watching Beech Grove, never seen such a perfectly weeded plotimage

Verdun that is brilliant  - how long waiting list?,  will you be growing flowering plants as well, my next door neighbour's plot has lots of grasses and they look fab, are looking really good now

The stream sound nice and tranquil for your garden

Was chatting to one of the guys on the committee, he's going to look at my strimmer and try to get it working.

Hoping to go to the plot early tomorrow for a couple of hours to harvest veg and fruit.

Apples on one of the trees are huge, I think they are Brambly. The branches are in danger of snapping before they're willing to part with their fruit. Blackberries, chillies and peppers are looking good. Was thinking of making some chilli relish, can anyone recommend a recipe.

Zoomer hope the strimmer can be fixed, all I can say is try and support the apple tree, going to go to the AGM on Thursday first time for that

I started growing g at home, Verdun. Was bitten by the bug when a friend gave me a GH and progressed onto an allotment, the bed's at home became to small.

Hope you don't have too long a wait for a plot.
