  • Hello everyone! It took me quite a while to read all of these two threads..

I got my first allotment last June,it hadn't been touched for 4 years. Then in Feb of this year the old guy next door told me he was retiring..Of course I said "I want it" he went to the parish council and recommended me..Now I have TWO allotments..

Yes I have photos but might take me a while to figure out,how to put them up..image

Hi, Geordie, sounds like you've been bitten by the allotmenteering bug now that you have two plots.

Allotmenteering is a bit like marmite you either love it or loth it.?

  • Welcome Geordiexile62 goodie great you have an allotment and now two, what a lot of reading back you did the forum thread went on a while ago, nice to get out in the fresh air

    What sizes are your plots?

was the plot you took on in june overgrown?  like most new plots or did they strim it first

    Where abouts are you?

Camera symbol to the right of your posting box to put up picture, when they come up in the typing box they are small but get bigger when post, I have to reduce the size of my pictures by about 30% I edit in paint programme using my pictures from computer - hope you understand any of that

Hello, popped up to plot this morning for a couple of hours , took first load of spent compost from g/h up , taking some more tomorrow  morning

Summer mix green manure , just started to flower , so trimmed it ready for digging in end of Oct

Tomorrow intend to cut asparagus down , weed & mulch the bed image

It's been a wet weekend,. Lots of clearing and weeding done on the plot between showers.

My pumpkin is turning orange ?, I grew four varieties, lots of small ones but only two large pumpkins. Summer squash have done well, no butternut squash, although the plants were large and healthy.. .loads of courgettes...
