Went outside as I was going stir crazy and planted skimmia, clematis (well moved clematis to a sunny position), chaenomeles, euonymous, pachysandra and some other bits and pieces and started to clear up the new fence mess.
It's very mild in my part of the world more like the end of march so the plants won't suffer. Everything is budding and growing, it's wonderful.
It's great to be outside and not cooped up inside.
Rain forecast this week so the mulch and compost will be watered in nicely
A trip to the garden centre to see lots of plug plants for sale, and even tiny tomato seedlings. Got a 10kg tun of Bone Meal for £12.99 which is good value. About to plant some seeds in the heated propogator and Poole about in the greenhouse until it gets dark.
Not done much, been cold this week and my phone reckons the same next week.
Inbetween the heavier hails I did a bit of trimming and piling. Made a mental list of plants I'm tiring of and dug up a caryopteris to start with Moving some salvia purple rain and Knip Timothy into that space when the soil is warmer. Need something tall for the back though...
Updating my plant file, copied k to v from the old plant book today - a surprising amount of P's
Yes, I'm trying to be less hasty, a lesson learned from a nice blue penstemon springs to mind
Thought about advertising it free to a new home but it's blocking a waterbutt and a clem I needed to cut down and it was out the ground before I knew it
I gave my buddleia a good trim this afternoon and potted on some of the small perennials I got at the GC yesterday. Feels like spring is just round the corner now

Sewn some onions (white and red), chillis and purple sprouting broccoli. But the air is here icy, so no working in the garden.
Managed to remove the old leaves from some of the Pulsatillas. They are going to be very early this year, looking at the buds
Dead-headed my mum's hydrangeas, now watching an uninspired England performance against Italy.
