Yesterday I planted up new border. Counted up the labels, 66 plants! I had been buying and stashing away! I have three trays of fox gloves that I will mingle in too when I get up! Bit achey today
Hmm, not sure yet! Weather is not looking great at the mo. Possibly a day inside entertaining the small one if it's going to rain. And I don't have any chocolate
Yesterday I had a GH sort out, put more in the cold frames to make room for newly potted up French Marigolds and Lavatera Silver Cup and newly sown runner beans. First lot of runner beans are up.
Then weeded half the lower trellis bed, filling in old mole tunnels as I did it.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Deadheaded the weather damaged daffs. Normally it's the tulips that incurr the wrath. Perhaps the strange and ugly arrangements I concocted meant they had suffered enough
Potted up the rest of the dahlias, jabbed some stakes in, tied in the summer rasps, cleaned the wild bird things and replen'd the sun seed.
Thought about scooping out some of the gunk that had washed into the pond and ordered some more trellis for the clems and to replace another that appears to be made of crackerbread.
Back to work tomorrow, yippee! Expecting a plant order this week so will hopefully have a jolly good planting weekend coming up

I should think so, Beaus Mum - that's a lot for one person in one go!

Armed the undergardener with a paint scraper and a cheese knife and directed him to weed the path as far 'as that dandelion - it's the yellow flower.'
Not much to do today.

Not much today for me - some couch grass fighting, plus dug out an evil thing or two, making space for a little visit to the nursery tomorrow
