I saw some black-headed gulls with their 'black' heads on Sunday too. And birds have been singing all over the place for ages.
The birds seem to be getting ready to nest earlier this year - must be the mild weather - so no more hedge cutting!
The blooms on my plum tree are about to open - I guess this is the last chance to winter wash the tree, even though the bottle of the winter wash says "end of March"? (I did the first wash quite late, at the beginning of January.)
OK, thanks!
My hedges were all cut in autumn, Verdun, after the birds had finished breeding.

Does this count as gardening?
Awwwww, you've lost the river now, what will the ducks do.
they'll have to make do with the lake. Although I did have to gently shoo a pair of mallards away from the top pond this afternoon.
