Showered the soil off myself image shade over the garden now but still beautifully warm! Got sunburnt today, didn't realise image don't tell Dove....she worries!

Verdun, I haven't cut my grass yet, but mine is not a lawn like yours, more scrubland with some tufts and a picnic bench image

I still haven't taken any pictures yet as I haven't finished and its all still a bit shabby. The beds need a few more days of sun for everything to have a growth spurt. I do think I've done everything I can to encourage this though. I'm taking a lot more consideration with my plants and where I put them as well as branching out with new types. Very impatient to see it all come together! image

In the garden all day today - lovely and warm.

Potted on my toms, some marigolds and other bits and bobs before running out of MPC and not wanting to go out and get more - there's a definite gap in the market for same day gardening supply delivery.

Evicted about a million snails from the dumping ground at the base of our fig and got rid of a load of cuttings, tiles and plastic bits that were acting as snail penthouse suites.

Planted out my first hosta :)

    Pruned suckers from fruit trees.

Weeded a patch of flowerbed, planted some bulbs and sowed some cornflowers.

General tidy-up and a good sweep - amazing what a difference a clean patio and a freshly mowed lawn makes!

Now enjoying dinner and a glass of wine.

Just come in for a half time breakimage

Moved two clumps of daffs which have recently gone over. Only planted a couple of years ago and now there's about 8 million bulbs. Predictably I needed a hole 11 times bigger than the space they came out of, the soil is starting to turn to rock, the bulbs were deeper than the fork prongs, I had not enough space to work and I left a bunch out each time and had to redig. Also now looks a complete mess.?

Had to rethink where to plant some perennials that had been waiting for the bulb move but got them close enough. Have been able to replant the border under the kitchen window now and tinker with the triangle bed.

Shortly going to tackle the bog and behind-the-bog border?

  • Does this count?

Put up the new arch - almost too pretty to cover it up!

Worn out but not stopping until it gets dark!  Today I've repotted six sweet pepper plants which were overwintered, potted on lots of seedlings including echinops, malva, larkspur and lettuces.  Planted out a dozen overwintered young heucheras, potted on about 4 dozen sweet pepper and chilli plants and eight well rooted philadelphus 'virginal' cuttings I took last year.  Lots of weeding too. image
