Hullo all, long time no text.

Left home in nov. without doing a lick of cleanup, so came home a week ago to major mess. Garden was under snow until a week before I got home so most things flourishing. However, fancy gaillardias and coreopsis took a very big hit, oh well.

Cleanup and composting about half finished but we are at the beginning of ten days of major rain and snow that may end the drought.

Found this pic from last spring to make me stir my stumps.

Nice to 'see' you again David. Wondered why you suddenly disappeared! image

Hoping to get something done later if the ground thaws, but it's mainly clearing and tidying up a bit. Seed sowing soon for me too hollie  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I'm itching to get out there but wet heavy clay means I'd probably do more harm than good. Also, I often lose seedlings when I pull out adjacent weeds. So I will resist - I think.

    In London. Keen but lazy.
  • Good to see David is back, always like to see pics of his beautiful gardenimage

My weather ap said it was going to be sunny today but I would describe it as a light hail somewhat thwarting my plans to potter.

Pulled up a few bittercress and filled a few potholes before retreatingimage

Looks like another day of planning and browsingimage

    Wearside, England.

Very pretty garden Davids10. Has started tipping with rain here so pruning is now out.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Like your garden, Davids10. I managed to tidy the greenhouse. Planted some hostas out. Moved ornamental grass and some Lady's Mantle. Dug a raised vegetable bed and covered it up to warm up the soil. Made a trial pot with Lavender seeds. And then the rain arrived...
