awful cold weather here, hope tomatoes are ok, been covering at night but left them now, we go away thur so they'll have to get tough ! Got my 5 year old to sow some seeds and write the labels so she was happy for an hour, the scaffolding has finally gone!! HURRAHH!!! been up 3 months, though with it has also gone the last of the 3 beautiful foxglove spires that were all in bud, roofers guillotined 2, scaffolders crushed the remaining one and trampled on large hardy geranium which I hope will recover, managed to get out and give most things a seaweed spray and some bits a bit of tomato feed before the rain came, and rubbed/sprayed greenfly off roses tomorrow must aerate, rake, add grit to add topsoil to and reseed lawn so when we come home from in laws hopefully it will be growing! Meant to say went to open garden at weekend, had loads of beautiful aqilegias, I have lots but not like this ( and mine are covered in greenfly) lots of doubles some pale blue and cream, some pale pink and cream

    Today in the garden:-

Saw my first dragon flies & got most of my paths sprayed with n'e'rdowell.

Set the lounger out due to heatwave and laziness.

On the way back in peeped into the compost bin just because and there it was!!!! A hosta!!!! Where'd that come from???? Who did that??? Hosta fairy? image I'm baffled! It's not in a pot so who dug it up and left it there????
