Replanted a fern using some well rotted leaf mould

Planted out a row of propagated Euonymus emerald and gold alongside a low breeze block wall that was used years ago as a retaining wall for a rockery but now needs a gentle camouflage to hide it

Resited a weigela Florida Variegata nana under a open area under a smoke bush

Planted up a cornus white gold

Planted out some propogated euphorbia purperia behind a row of tulips for summer folliage colour when the tulips die back

I will sleep will tonight ????????????
  • Been a busy day in the garden cleared four of the old herbaceous borders had a huge bonfire for all the rubbish, hope to rotavate tomorrow and get some life back into them.

Spent the evening sat down with scotch or two and started to plan the layout and order some plants.

If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.

Planted 1 shrub, 4 clematis and many more perennials. Mulched a bit, shifted stuff around in borders and scratched my head half deciding where the rest of the plants should go, made gaps in my horde of vegetation sitting in pots on the patio and was able to sweep it for the first time in 6mths image

No gardening today except to check seeds in conservatory. Found that cosmos and African marigolds, sown last Saturday, had germinated. Didn't check them yesterdayimage so cosmos is now very leggy at about 2 inches tall!
