  • Dug up and moved some Crocosmia Lucifer, dug over the bed ready for new (yet to be determined) plants. Mowed the lawn, repotted a patio rose, and potted up some dahlias (one was sprouting in the packet).

Nipped to the garden centre for some more potting grit, but walked away with some white oriental poppies. Whoops! image

I'm doing a weed and feed on the lawn later, seeing as it's going to rain for the rest of the weekend.

    Yes!  Yes!!  YES!!!

Hoed and weeded all the borders and used all the BF&B that I could find, mowed both lawns, cleaned out the mini greenhouse ready for seedlings, stood and looked at the 'new bed area' a lot, and listened to the birds a lot image

Me too Dove, I've trimmed the front lawn and clipped a few shrubs.  Planted out 15 foxglove Albas.  Seeds are nearly ready to pot on.image

Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
  • my pathetic little effort today was wiring a small trellis in a trough and planting up  with  clematis, small cypress, white rose i think eunonymus and fuchsia still missing my old garden with grass and mature shrubs etc but trying to make something of this gravel covered plot I've now got. at least I've got a garden even if it is like a dessert and overlooked from, all angles but keep smiling image

Put the chicken wire up to dog proof the garden. Really pleased with it as can't really see it from the house. Just in time as an English bull terrier was let off its lead by another irresponsible owner only for a small Scottie dog to get chased and bitten. Tears and a very heated argument followed. Hoping the council will put some signs up soon before anyone else gets hurt.
