I potted on some tomatoes and dwarf dahlias yesterday plus a few other thing, I got trapped in the GH yesterday with the weather image at least I did the jobs I was going to do today. I am glad I did now had a late night last night, I've only been up for half hour.

I could do to plant the clematis miss bateman toady but it windy and downpours now and again

I brought my Cannas into the house early / mid Feb, one over 18 inch the others are about foot tall.

  • Potted up my Dahlias. Gave the seeds that I sowed yesterday a good hard stare.....they have't come up yet.....come on ...hurry up!imageimageimage Loads of bulbs in the garden starting to poke their heads up.Seem to have three Robins fighting over the bird box on my tree-exciting!!

Hollie, I've just planted some crocosmia in some pots, not grown them before and there was conflicting advice on the threads I read so have just winged it image also potted some Allium bulbs too, again winging it...but poundland investment so not too much to lose if it doesn't work out image

    Hollie, I've got 2 tunnels.

One is 56ft x 21 feet ( multiples of 3 feet widths and 8 foot lenghts , sorry )" the cool tunnel" and has netting up to 1m high where I grow hostas and other hardy stuff.

The other tunnel is 48 x21 and is all polythene, " the hot tunnel" where I grow tomatoes, chillies and the tender stuff like cannas, gingers etc.

A luxury I'd never thought possible until we moved here.

I put up a little shelf for the iPod docking station today. I , erm, watered it yesterdayimage so I thought I ought to get it up a bit higher.

  • I was in a tidying mood today, did some weeding and chopping down and for good measure, piled up the debris in a big, raggedy mound.

Moved some globe thistles, but found two for every two I moved. Hope they are not the hideous things I grew from seed last year, thought I'd disposed of them.

Lifted a brick off my new eremurus and a slab off one of my old alliums. Also kicked the head off an alpine primula.

Sunny in a dampish way now, might go out for a last brew and sit in the sunimage

    Wearside, England.
