    Great raindrops yarrow

I'm in catching up suffering from white knuckle and exhaustion. I'm afraid there was a bit more non BBC language and a temper tantrum at the b****y strimmer again. It's a big monster and I love it but that piggin string does my head! image

Plant pauper.  I'd rather be on my hands and knees with shears than use a strimmer!

OH has gone off for another weekend playing trains so I've defaulted to gardening mode. (even though there's 101 other things I should be doingimage). Have just spent 2 hours in front garden where I (at last) planted an astilbe and hellebore that have been in my 'plants waiting to be planted' area for some time. Also did some weeding. Something in the willow herb family I think. I am determined not to let them go to seed this year!

I am now having a rest with a cappuccino and dark chocolate Kitkat. imageI need to get back out there preparing for tomato planting before those thundery showers come.

I just did an area of about 15mx15m so hands and knees is not an option Marygold.

Some of my garden is what you might call....rustic! You might also call it neglected, abandonded, overgrown.... I'm working my way out from the house one petrol tank at a time and the bit I'm working on now hasn't been touched in the two years since I moved in because it was so overgrown. You can't even imagine how bad it is now. As I was strimming I was visualising how to attach the brush cutter for the next bit. image
