    Sorry to hear that Archiepem.

Was a lovely day. We spent some time this afternoon wrestling with the Star Jasmine (not spelling the Latin name!) I decided to re-pot it when I saw a very big pot in the GC sales a few weeks ago. It is now a lot bigger than me and we had quite a job to get it out of its pot and lift it into the new one. Needed doing as it fell over in the gales and went crooked and I couldn't straighten it. It's climbing up a rose obelisk in the pot.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • I know how you feel Archiepem. Did the same a week ago, bent over, digging up weeds in a flower bed ... then heard a click in my lower back ... and OMG the pain. It took a few days for me to recover before I could bend down. But am good again but your back governs everything ... simple things like putting on your socks!

Was meant to be a mass planting day again today, but I  tidied my shed first thing this morning and then took the rubbish to the dump where the man informed me that I had a flat tire image

Hubby put the spare on for me and phoned ahead to book me in so I spent rest of the afternoon at Take-their-time  Fit,image

Good excuse to pop off to the garden centre because I'd rather look at plants than clothes and I found a clematis Amandii for my bare fence. Result!

One fatty changed and home with new climber, in time to pot up a Jurrasic palm that I had hanging around from yesterday image

Swept the middle lawn terrace and weeded under the Paul's Scarlet Climber rose - the dreaded couch grass has struck and I can't get it all out image

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Cold and grey here, and I spent the morning painting the picket fence in the front garden. Had to do it now before the plants get going otherwise they get in the way.

Did spot a new self seeded poppy and an aquilegia whilst I was trying not to tread on the daffodils though. image
