Tied up a floppy artichoke. Central heating on. Never mind it'll be July soon. I'm thinking of planting up an ice garden. I will have to Google for plants as I can only think of iceberg lettuce and there's a sedum isn't there?

    In London. Keen but lazy.
  • Not much !! Very wet and windy. Just popped out and put some pots back upright and pinched out my peas/beans and some dahlias. Tried to buy some more plant supports but so few for shorter plants and my snapdragons are so floppy ! Accidentally bought another 3 plants for £1.25 total this morning...well thats my excuse ! Plant addiction is a terrible thing !!! :D:D

Heavy rain all day... just home from work and noticed the Delphiniums have taken a battering! No sign of my Agapanthus flowering yet - normally out for Wimbledon fortnight.

My garden and I live in South Wales.

Planted out the rest of my plants today, that can go out that is. Turned out the space I'd allocated for my biggest dahlia, 12 litres, was the only part of the garden where I hadn't yet dug out a square foot of clay.image

Potted on some seedlings I've been ignoring, Erigeron, aconitum (forgotten which), sea thrift and something that is hopefully a dierama or an asphodelus albus (sowed both) but is probably one of those rushes that appear in soggy neglected pots.

Sowed some seeds and did a small amount of thinking...got some areas to rejig for next year...?

Phew, just finished trimming the hedges and my arms are aching. Popped in for a sneaky tea break before I go back out to sweep up all the bits.

I've noticed that parts of my front garden are migrating onto the public foot path with alchemilla mollis, geranium, campanula and violets all popping up between the flagstones. image

I even spotted a small antirrhinum slap bang in the middle of the driveway access that's escaped being squished by the car wheels. image

We're set back from the road with a large green out front and I spotted half a dozen oak seedlings sprouting a few days ago (probably buried by squirrels from a tree up the street) all gone today after a visit from the councils ride on mower.

Looks like the weather been playing up with most people this week. I bought some plant supports the other day, but it seem I am to late image. A terracotta pot with regale lilys has blow over as well breaking the pot image sometimes I wonder why I bother. I think I go and sow some biennials today in GH out of this ruddy weather.
