I ventured out into the garden today to inspect my crops in the raised beds.. I harvested a little Purple Sprouting Broccoli, just enough for me ...  Did a little weeding and lifted the bucket off my Rhubarb... Its still pretty cold and my lawns desperately need mowing..  Now if its dry in the next day or two.. maybe..image

Brilliant sunshine reflecting off the snow still around, bitter wind and clear skies, the usual coastal front must have headed out to sea it is not in view.

Warered the cuttings in the Conservatory does that count?

WATERED, for goodness sake, why can't I alter the spelling without losing everything.

Checked the greenhouse, pruned rest of clematis, cut back lavatera but think I'm going to remove it.  Cut back some more dead and dying.  Had planned to fish, blood and bone the borders but felt a bit tired and yuk due to a cold so decided to call it a day.

Erm have you tried usung the edit button, works for me...image

Sorry you still have snow..  I just planted up a couple of patio roses in large pots and cleared a few others.. There a half inch sheet of ice  on the water butts.. So although its sunny, I only spent an hour out side..... The ground is soaking so at least the weeds pull out easier... I watered a few things too but only the pots ..

My cloches took a battering in Storm Imogen and one looks beyond repair..  Good job I have some spares...

  • Sent my boy out with heavy duty loppers: pointed at some shrubs, told him what height I wanted and rushed back inside where it is warm. That really doesn't count, does it?

Frank & Frankie6 both sound like gardening to me image

BLT enjoy the PSB mine isn't ready yet.

    Yvie get well soon.

All I've done is open and close the GH doorsimage

  • I repotted two of my new blueberries, but halfway through realised my pots weren't deep enough, so I'm going to have to do it again, but that's OK, I quite like repotting, (though not sure the blueberries will want to be disturbed again).

Sounds like good advice, Ricin doesn't make good chocolate!

Saw some Lupin bare roots in local supermarket. Unusual, but £2 for 5, so no harm, no foul. Got some Crocosmia bulbs that need planting.

Did my usual, sowed three packets of seeds in identical propagators and forgot to label them...

  • There are some very nice looking standard rosemary and bay trees in Tesco at the moment at £15 each for Mother's day. I am going to buy myself 2.
