Finished potting up/pricking out and, between downpours, all plants now put into the greenhouse or outside with self watering trays and capillary matting in place ready for hols. Also evicted numerous slugs and snails.
Enlarged the border for the third year running , planted out some assorted plants. Some Foxgloves, Delphiniums and a few other bits and bobs. Swept up all of last years debris from the path and then enjoyed the sunshine on the bench.
I'm hoping it stops raining soon, so I can get outside and get planting. Expecting a Dorset Perennials delivery today too... plus I have my haul from the plant market on Monday still waiting to get in the ground
I'll also be going to my new favourite nursery to choose some plants for the raised bed next to the driveway, which has been left to its own devices by the previous owner. It's north facing and shady, but on the plus side, it is sheltered. Not sure what to get yet, will be asking the nursery owner for some inspiration -want light blooms to lighten it up as it's against a dark hedge backdrop, and something quite naturalistic and not too structured.
only thinking of you but you are getting too many plants. It is a little known fact that a physiological disorder occurs when a lot of plants are purchased and planted. Let me help you.......just forward your plants to me and I will dispose of them safely. Yes, I will do that for you
It is so annoying that we are never given such info.
Hehe! Yes, I am getting too many plants. I have an affliction. A bad one. Sadly, this affliction also means I have an inability to find the post office, or else of course I would forward them to you. Not sure I could afford the international postage though...
I'm actually going all out to get as much as possible sorted in the garden before my H's birthday party next weekend... after that, I need to give my bank balance a rest! At least until he builds the pergola and I need to plant that...
