Good evening Marion hope your well?. I've bought my first pllant this year, well two pots of Hyacinth and put them in my planter next to our back door, one lot will be white and the other cerise-pink, can't wait for them to open up, I took a photo of them and some of my plants
I stayed in all day and just telephoned family to catch up with the news GWRS. Another cold day tomorrow. Lovely pictures flumpy. Super heather. You will enjoy those hyacinths when they start perfuming your back door.
My sister has been living in Canada for decades so is acclimatised but I could not survive such temperatures being fifteen years older and used to the mildness of Bristol. Only i degree this morning and slight frost on the rooftiles and grass had me shivering! Top temperature of 5degrees so it is indoors again for me, especially as the forecast is for the coldest night of the winter for the whole country tonight! I think I will get out all my seed packets and make plans.
Minus 4 degrees this morning so no chance of getting out in the garden early despite the blue sky and sunshine. Rain forecast for tomorrow too but up again to 11 degrees on Saturday which will really feel warm! Expecting my summer bulbs from Blom's Bulbs this morning. I hope they are all nice big flowering size ones. I should be able to get to the AGS meeting where we have a talk on Gardening for Wildlife as the night time temperature is forecast to be six.
Look after yourselves GWRS and flumpy. Your gardens need you.
