Good morning Marion a lovely imagesunny day here too image, I am going to cut a load of nettles at the back of my garden fence and make it look nice and tidy again so gloves on today I think.

tomorrow is taken up by my god daughters christening, so I will be wrapping her present up later.

have a lovely day Marion and I will catch you later.

Now is the right time to cut down your nettles Flumpy as the catterpillers will soon stop feeding on them and pupate to become butterflies.  Leave a few in a corner in a heap for any late comers.  Eight of our lovely native butterflies depend on nettle leaves for their food.

The perfume from my first flower to open on my Polyanthes tuberosa- tuberose, is amazing.  When the next one opens I will let it scent the patio and cut this one for the house.  Bliss!image

Lovely picture Marion wish I could smell your flowers, it's a shame we can't scratch n sniff our screen image.

Thanks for the advise Marion, I've left a few nettles at one end Marion, my arms are aching from all the cutting, I also gave the beds a good digging over and pulled a old conifer which had died thanks to my dodgy neighbour who I caught feeding it with water in winter image some people are petty, anyway I've put a nice shrub with red berries in its place, if I catch him doing that again I will put that hose on his silly head!

hoping for nice weather tomorrow as we are at our god daughters christening in the afternoon followed by a buffet and drink image

Hi GWRS hope your well image

Joyce21 I still have the card for that plant in my shed but I'm in my pjs, so I will get it tomorrow for you, I took that picture in spring that's why the berries are out, I thought the birds might like it too image

Another fine warm sunny day in Bristol.  Judges still not been but have had a visit one year after 7 on a Sunday night so expect the unexpected!.  Deadheading as usual but may not do much watering as we have a lot of rain forecast for tomorrow.  i will look out for any limpness though.  That is a lovely shrub Flumpy.  What are the flowers like that produce those berry clumps?

Morning Marion, sunny here too and I've got tomorrow off but its forecast rain typical.

Good luck with the judges Marion I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you.

ive not seen the shrub flower yet as the berries are only just dropping off, I will keep my eye on it.

Joyce I've not forgotten, I will get the name of my shrub later : )
