Awww blackcountry lass, such a nice thing to say.  I may be able to go gardening today or at least this morning but forecast for tomorrow is a yellow warning for heavy rain and gales again so I shall have to batten down the hatches.  It is still mild however so not much heating needed which bodes well for the gas and electricity bills at end of month.

I worked in the conservatory till the rain stopped but hope to start filling up the green wheeliebin again this afternoon when I plant six perennial plants.  I smell of hyacinths now.  Finding lots of blue and orange primulas in my bargain basement plugs - my favourite colours.

  • Photos are such a treat again Marion. Hoped you manage to get outside.  It is dark when I get home from work so not able to get into my garden much yet but looking forward to be able to potter about in there soon.

Hi Marion, your photos are lovely, it's definately spring in your garden, I'm loving the mix of colours too image.

I'm now off for a week and praying for a dry day so I can tidy all the dead plants in my garden, it's been dry all day today and now it's raining cats and dogs image

Aah the best laid schemes o' mice and Marion gang aft awry!  It rained on and off all day - but the conservatory is very smart now!  Just watched a lovely film called "Up".  Definitely in my second childhood. ( perhaps my third).  We have a yellow warning all day tomorrow for heavy rain and strong winds so bunkering down.

Duckpond already outside the kitchen and it is pouring with lots more to come by the look of the sky.  So dark I have the light on.  No gardening today then and getting colder through the night too.  But the forsythia twigs I picked in January are opening their buds indoors now so spring does not seem so far away.

  • I watched "Up" too, Marion.  Definitely one of my favourite animated films (my daughter trained as an animator, so I have someone to point out what's good and what's not!).  I'm ashamed to say it made me cry...  image

Not a hope of gardening today, as it's grey, gloomy and wet.  A good day for looking at seed catalogues, I think!

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
