Yes i do deadhead my agapanthus, not to let the plant use energy in making seed as I propagate by division. But you can get different mixtures of blue and white petals by collecting your own seed as they are quite easy to grow from seed. It just needs patience as it takes years before you see a flower.
No sun forecast for today but 17degrees and mostly dry thugh it is drizzling at the moment. It is one of those on-off days for gardening I think. I expect I can ctch up with the TV gardening programs on iplayer I have missed in the rainy sessions. I still have lots of plants to plant out.
Dull but dry today and a heatwave predicted for Monday so I must give everything a good watering and feed lots of those in flower tomorrow. There are some very pretty sweet peas flowering so will take out the camera later. I have ordered a "Gertrude Jekyll" rose which is one of the best for scent . It is coming in full flower on Monday so will be given a prominent place in the front garden. Only two lily flowers left intact but the fallen petals of the defunct one are drying nicely to go into my por pourri.
Hi Marion, your sweet peas are looking very healthy
ive got some pictures of flowers from menorca, unfortunately some didn't turn out very clear
the train did an hours journey to Binibecca and the beach there was like paradise, the watch towers where built in the 17th century and they where dotted all over Menorca.
I took a photo of a leaf on the tree as I could believe the size of them.
