I love that deep red moss rose, Marion.  My dad grew those in the '60s when they were distinctly unfashionable... the perfume is like roses and clotted cream...  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

If you just mow a path through your lawn Flumpy you can have a designer meadow with the rest.  We have a similar day to yesterday here in Bristol so it may rain lightly at any time.  it is very dark right now.  still i did get a lot done in the long dry spells.

We had some rain but it has stopped now.  I have taken some pics of my "Shipshape and Bristol Fashion " front garden which I think I am half way through getting ready for the judging.

Awww, that's enough for me then GWRS.  I've just taken out four big pots of flowering agapanthus as you get marks for biodiversity and they will add some more blue.  You also get marks for colour and health of plants and mine all score on that.  I wish you got marks for scent as the whole drive is an olefactorial treat.

Hello , scent , I was watching a programme I recorded some time ago called Great BrIrish Garden Revival and the first part was about Scent , something that is often over looked which is a shame , the village show has a class for scented roses which I quite often win

Hope you are having a good day image

Hi Marion, lovely pictures, good luck from me, it's been dry all day and now it's started raining again , let's hope the weekend is nicer, has it gone cold in Bristol?

Hi GWRS hope you've had a productive day?

Brilliant sunshine this morning in Bristol and forecast comfortably warm so hope to get lots of gardening done when I have recovered from a night out at a heavy play called Di and Viv and Rose which made me feel lucky I was born "ordinary".  Still it was well done.
