Lovely Marion.  What is the 5th plant down and will it cope with shade?

This is a very tall sysirynchium which has been flowering for two months now.  It is growing in the shade of my huge Bramley apple tree.  It is now sprawling as I have not staked it properly but so floriferous I do not mind.  I think it is such a robust plant it will cope with anything.  I had it from the Secret Gardening Club but have lost the label in the thicket!

I thought the flowers looked like syserynchium (which I have) but I didn't know there was a tall variety. Thanks.

Another dry warm day ahead but forecast says there may be the odd shower so I will work near the house as it is too warm to wear my old raincoat just in case.  Two lilies open today so even more perfume.

Right on cue as i unlocked the back door the rain started.  Just a sharp  shower but looks like the pattern for today so will stay near the shelter of the house as it is too warm to wear my raincoat.  My agapanthus, white and blue are opening their buds now so should get the pots out front soon.  Others that look promising to be if flower soon are Barnsley Babe white mallow and blue platycodon plus my bargain begonias are now getting quite floriferous.  I will be searching for spaces to put my plants in flower soon.
