"Gertrude Jekyll" has arrived and I smelt her lovely perfume before i opened the box. She will go by the front gate after having a big drink. She looks amazing despite having travelled in the heat.
Yes GWRS it has been warm here today as well but fresher with a bit of a breeze so was able to get outside and do a bit of pruning today. I do not feel the day has been worthwhile unless I get some gardening in! Glad you got a lot done too.
Another beautiful day has dawned and promises to be not too hot for gardening. More watering will be necessary however as only a little rain perhaps this afternoon promised.
We had a skower of rain lst night that has freshened up the grden a bit though i will still have to do a lot ofwatering of pots but the forecast is for dry warm and sunny but not too hot to keep me indoors. Green wheeliebin gets emptied this morning so more pruning will be on the cards to fill it up again.

Hello , I do like scented roses , we have 2 but can't remember the names , both David Austin roses , will have to see if I wrote them down
