Dietes bicolor, Joyce - a sore point with me. I have had a plant for years in my grden , get lots of leaves but no flowers whereas my friend's plant flowers every year. His garden is only one degree warmer than mine being he lives in the city and I am on the Gloucestershire border. The huge plant in the Botanic garden flowers every year in the Warm Temperate greenhouse so I am going to dig mine up, put it in a pot and bring it into the conservatory. It needs a Mediterannean type climate.
Hi Marion wishing you all th very best in the gardens competition . It is always a pleasure to look in on this thread and see your lovely garden photos
Went g/c this morning and bought 4 different coloured Canna Lillies have already got a white one , thought they would make a nice display , not really hardy hear so they will go in pots and in g/h over winter

Some lovely Sunday pics from my friend's tiny city garden. He invites the neighbours to help themselves to parsley.

A lovely splash of colour, Marion. What is the plant in the 3rd pic?

Thanks Marion. It would need to be in my sun lounge then as the Scottish climate would definitely not suit it.
Best of luck with the judges Marion, I am sure you will do very well as your garden is a delight.
