We've just come back from Venice and England. We went to Sussex Prairie Garden as well, thanks to Chicky. It was looking great although it was wet and windy. Then we had a mug of tea and warmed ourselves in front of their fire!
We went to Penshurst Place as well, which was past it's best but there was still colour in the borders.
And here is a garden in Venice from a boat on the Grand Canal.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Beautiful will definitely hunt it down
Just come back from a visit to Sussex Prairie Garden - beautiful at this time of year:
Great pics Lizzie and Chicky
Wow love it. Do like plants in big drifts like that and the hot colours with grasses. They just go together so well.

Thanks for posting those lovely pics BL
Has anyone else visited any gardens recently?
I went to John Masseys garden, behind Ashwood nursery, in Kingswinford, yesterday.
It was open for NGS.
Ghostly deer made from chickenwire.
Swan sculpture in the prairie grass at the side of the canal.
Lovely, beds still full of colour.
