Thank you for the lovely photos. Sounds exciting getting to the sunken garden. You look young and slim.

    Lovely pictures !

Got a bit confused at first, as I have been to Hampton Court Palace many times, and thought there must be whole swathes that I had somehow missed.  However, google has now taught me that Hampton Court Castle is a completely different place in a completely different part of the country !!  Geography lesson concluded for the dayimage

I had forgotten about the waterfall and the sunken garden. I knew I loved the place. Think I will have to go back to refresh my memory.image

Thanks Busy image Have to admit to being a little less than 27 image and the gardening work keeps me slim. The other lady in the photos of HC is my friend that I co-managed an independent nursery with many years ago so she is as plant mad as me lol

Chicky I didn't know either image

Matty not surprised you love it. It really is a gem.

Have been to both Trebah and Eden but not Hidden Valley. Where abouts in Cornwall is it? Will have to go find it next time at mums.

Hidden Valley is in the 2 for 1 book. It is North of Fowey off the B3269. It is signposted but is also well 'hidden'

really liked it - not a professional garden.

Hidden Valley was one of my favourites too. No imposing stately home, but a real gardener's garden with plants for all seasons. Tiny lanes leading to it.

Right where did I get to....

    Beautiful herbacious borders

    image

    Full of fragrant...ish giant lillies

    image

    Hemerocallis

    image

Tall yellow things...can't remember name butterflies loved it

    image

    Achillea and Eryngiums

    image

And even bigger and this time smelly giant lillies

    image

And from there you went through a Wisteria tunnel

    image

Out into the open grassy bit

    image

Where there was a big tree

    image

    With a little tiny door

Time for tea and cake...rather grand cafe!

Then wondered off down a woodland path and found these to play on

Looks as though you had a really good day. Thanks for sharing.

I loved Hidden Valley in Cornwall, went there in 2011.
