Exochorda is a lovely shrub - lovely pic BL. Another spring favourite of mine is the Spirea arg. 'Bridal Wreath'. Finer branches than Exo. but very pretty at this time of year. I bought two last year for the shady bit of the back garden.
Lovely peacock butterfly
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I'm noticing a lot of plants with 'Bridal' in the name, strange that as I was wondering whether to get my sister a plant to celebrate her wedding in June, may have to start a list and see which one would be best
I often plant things with my daughters names or an association.
Prunus the Bride above ,Magnolia Grandifolia Victoria a lobelia Rhubarb poppy , when I walk round the garden ii can be gone too long ,according to OH because I am always remembering friends and occasions.
Yep - that's the one lily. It gets called by both names. It's very pretty if you have it somewhere it can be seen at dusk as it lights up the area. I had one by my back gate in a previous garden.
Took these of my pasqueflowers and the drumstick primulas today:

Lovely pics Fairy and Lily. It needs to be something she can keep in a pot as she only has a back yard (and a Beagle!). I was thinking maybe a rose, but these shrubs are so pretty
Only saying the other day - must try some pasque flowers.
Good luck with the wedding plant orchid, do you know which flowers she's having in her bouquet?
A couple of pics of the border I've been working on this morning (after sorting fence stuff out on the other side). planted out miscanthus (can't really see in these pics, still q small, it's to the side of the Tom Thumb) which got me to move another (?) grass so they are now staggered either side of new path. Planned where some perennials will go in the top section. Can't wait for the acer to get going and be partly hidden by lupins and grasses.

Love the path and the gravel "thingy". Alot of work has gone into that and it looks fab.
