It's one I got as a tiny seedling and I lost the label many moons ago - bunnies then ate it at previous house and I eventually managed to revive it after a couple of years. Think it's probably The President or something similar but I can't remember

Fg. Yes the Canna is unusual. Looking up in boks it seems that the Cannas originally brought back from India were like this, rather than the much larger flowers that most of the ones we grow now have. It also has fairly small leaves.
I could swear that it looks nothing like the plant from which I stole the seed.

Fairy is that a dianthus (spelling) I've got a beautiful white one called fond memories. The smell is gorgeous.
