I have been watching youtube Foodie Laura every Tuesday she puts on a gardening video and she is going to a potato day in the next week - some where so may be able to see what she buys
Just checked out my order lol never did order a peach tree-its an apricot tros!! Will now have to read all about how to grow apricots and buy a peach tree too. Popping to the GC to get seed compost decided to start some flowers and more broad beans as the ones on the plot looked a bit sad due being bashed about by the weather.
GG I grew cauliflower last yr didn't do well and when I saw caterpillars crawling all over them I felt physically sick- I have a irrational fear of caterpillars cauli ended up on the compost heap. I hope your cauli do well and I haven't put you off.
Oh what Weyplotter more info to look up re your tree
I do have a pop up frame netting thing to go over my raised bed that they will be going in hope that keeps the butterflies off from laying eggs, I did well one year growing them but not had much cauliflower success more the leaves not the middles
I have to get more seed compost that is what I had left from last year
I love my apricot tree because it is the first to blossom- maybe a month or six weeks before the rest start even thinking about it! just seeing it brings new hope that spring is on its way
i did have two fruits on it last year too buy my house guests decided not to water it while I was on holiday and put paid to any chance of those apricots going in my mouth
Done some digging today dug and emptied two large bags of horse manure then turned the muck and filled them back up - hoping this will help them rot down faster by being turned
The next time I want horse manure I would like it well rotted not fresh ish, want to be able to use it on some raised beds in spring one doing ok the other still slushy like cow poo
Good to hear that the apricot tree blossoms early anything to bring spring a bit closer. Shame about the apricots Fruitcake hopefully you'll get twice as many this yr.

My plan this year Weyplotter is to A- go on holiday later in the year, and B- dispose of the services of my so called house guests
Gardengirl , never seen so many potatoes , beans etc for sale , seems a really interesting way to buy stuff
dont forget folks that Aldi have got the trees in store from tomorrow
Aldi's garden stuff usually follows the tree sale. I'd like one of those kneel pads which when turned the other way is a seat
