  • Hello Ginagibbs, It may well be new little muck boot wellies for me this year as I have a cut in one which has got a bit bigger as I keep bending down and wear them a lot

Nearly sowed seeds today but had to much other stuff to do

Sounds a good idea to warm up the soil, I still have wallflower that needs moving up to the train station garden in my veg patch ended up being a bit of a nursery bed

Thanks Fruitcake, sorry to hear you have RSI too, bloomin' nuisance isn't it. Had physio for 6 months last year, ended up with steroid injection in my shoulder which lasted for just 3 months. I'm told they will do a total of 3 jabs in one site so think I may try again as I don't really want surgery.

Good luck with your SE job Fruitcake, hope it works out for you image

GG.....I bought an apple and a pear tree from Aldi 2 yrs ago.....both have born fruit last year ( obviously only little ones! ) but I was well chuffed, they were another bargain! image

  • Yipee we have snow!!image here's me moaning yesterday that we never get snow its here to prove me wrong.

GG what variety are your show peas? I've got TM- twinkle, rondo and Italian dark skin perfection be interesting to see what they taste like.

Fruitcake-lovely boots I prefer the gold ones though not sure about the laces might be a pain getting them on and off!

  • We have snow too nowimage

Ed what are you supposed to do with the Bicarbonate of soda?

  • We have snow

Weyplotter the peas are called show perfection - say to grow 1 seed per 9cm pot per a cane that you are growing them up if doing the cordon method

Woo2 the only thing is I do not have space for any more fruit trees until I get an allotment

  • I want snow too *stamps feet*

getting my my boots on and off with the laces is not a problem- I just need to loosen the top two rows a bit then just slide my feet on and out image

i have decided that they will have to be my wet weather wellies and my hunters can be my muddy onesimage

  • Snow mainly all melted away now

So here is the pics from the potato day

This is the row of organic potatoes, then the rest is not organic seeds potatoes grouped in 1st,2nd and main crop

Here is the runner bean seeds Enorma the only one you could have this year, they sell them for £2 for half pint glass, the way they sell all the beans, broad beans and peas except peas £1 for half pint glass.

This is what I purchased the 10 potato bags with the French beans on, the potatoes and seeds and the trays on the side, now all potatoes in egg boxes chitting

Here is another pic of the pea and bean seeds, except the pea show perfection that is a small pack from a stand, so I now have lots of seeds and runner beans should grow this year

Thank you Edd, will look into that image

  • Morning

GG potatoes look so tempting and the beans/peas such a reasonable price. I'm still waiting for my order from Parkers. Itching to get started on the chitting. Never been to a potato fair so most likely go next yr as have enough already for this yr.
