Silly Q but can you grow grape vines from cuttings. The guy on the next plot has a huge one growing in his polly tunnel.

I was hoping to get down to the plot this weekend, I've a long list of winter jobs to do and still alot of digging but it's forcast rain here on Saturday.

ginagibbs...you are organised...I've still got to put in garlic and onions, will need to do it this weekend as they are becoming a bit big for their pots. Haven't bought any shallots yet.

  • half of my onions are in, I need to put the other lot in this weekend. I've got garlic in but I don't know if it's doing anything yet until I get up there on Saturday to check it all out.

I hate not being able to go there after work image

  • I know what you will be doing this weekend then Gardengirlimage      re skips: you have to keep your eyes peeled plus a bit of luck. I will paint the trellis this weekend as its going to be wet, I can do that under cover in the garage

Other jobs for a wet weekend... bubble wrap inside of green houseimage

Cant do any digging, last time I tried I could have made a clay pot!!

  • I will be having a good look at the catalogue Gina

Do any of you have to pay for Emergency fund per person per year on your allotments?   it says £3.00 to pay what does this mean any one know

  • Never heard of an emergency fund GG.I wonder if its for some sort of insurance.

Glad to see the photos back, I missed seeing my little dogimage

  • Q what tools do you have in your sheds?

Just getting ideas for when I get my plot

    Hampshire Gardener
  • Hello Edd, do you have a plot?  can't have you on my plot when I get it you live too far away - but good one to what you have put

    Hampshire Gardener
  • We don't pay anything other than plot rent

tools in shed- azadas, rake, fork, spades, trowels, mini forks, saw, hoe, push along lawnmower and God knows what else image

its been raining here all day. I suspect there won't be much going on at the plots tomorrow so I think I'll wrap up the palms in the garden and get them in the greenhouses ready for winter
