lots of bulbs arrived today for me to plant sometime at least with all the rain the ground is easier to dig

lots of bits to do here in the garden long list,  like making a cold frame for the sweet peas to go in when I sow them soon, is nice being busy out in the garden

    Woo2 , green manure

I used it last year for the first time on my allotment ,Thompson & Morgan green manure mixture , again used it  this year on a couple vacant beds , it's a seed mixture that you can leave it to grow over winter to keep the weeds down , it can then be dug in

    deffinately recommended it image

Bulbs I mainly got are tulips orange and purple/burgundy for pots, some daffs - also got a special bulb parcel containing some good bulbs, It takes a few weeks from order to arrival

I used green manure from T&M same as you GWRS and from  http://seeds-plants.mr-fothergills.co.uk/search?w=green%20manure#.VDxPJbd0xjo for separate mixes - it add nutrients to the soil to improve it too,  stops the rain washing out all the goodness

Woo2 you will have to plan your garden - so when you can garden you know what you can do or be nosy on internet looking at bulbs and plants stuff

No gardening this weekend, went for a mini break at Burton Bradstock, Dorset. Sea views were amazing image!!. and Saturdays weather was stunning. Went to Abbotsbury Tropical gardens, also stunning but missed the best time to see Hydrangeas etc. Allotment will have to wait now till Sunday.

Thank you GWRS and Gardengirl image

I managed to get up the road on sunday, it was very soggy and is no doubt even more so today image It hasnt stopped raining for two days. Now that the daylight is against me after work, its only going to be weekends and rare days off now that I get up there image I did bring home a lovely savoy cabbage that I grew all by myself image and some huge beetroot which another plot holder gave me image

I have definitely got blight in my potatoes though. I need to go after work one day this week and get some more bordeaux mixture on and hope for the best
