Eek I've not started any seeds yet, will start this week, hope I'm not too late! I haven't been to the plot in a little while as I've had a bad ear and muscle damage (or something) to my ankle/foot so Mr Stagbeetle and the boys went down and planted our small pear and cherry tree and I've asked him to go down to the plot today as he is off.

He is off to town too so have asked him to pick up a cold frame thingy from pound store for the seedlings.

Hello all, Went to Lidl yesterday and brought the long handled shovel it looks good quality and the spade - which the height goes up my armpits so think that is good for less bending me being 5"2

and brought all of these in the pic,

Zoomer they did not stay long then maybe the next time the newbies go to their plots, as they must of been just checking out what their plot looks like

Ginagibbs I did not get groceries went for the gardening stuff, they did have fruit trees to tempt me but did not get any and some nice bright umbrellas

Stagbeetle good time to start seeds off now ish as it is lighter so seeds should be ok and not go leggy, I started the tomatoes off yesterday and the cape gooseberries - my window sill is full doing some more broad beans in a min

Wanting to get my 5 tier green house up next week so seedlings can go out in that and more room for more seed sowing

    GWRS are you back yet..........

Hi all. How are your spuds doing? I have had mine chitting in egg boxes in my carport, which is fairly light (north facing) and frost free, not warm though. Nothing seems to be happening. Should I bring them in doors or the green house (unheated)?  This is my first year for potatoes so not sure how long they take to get going.

Hubby is off work tomorrow so we are going to put up the poly tunnel, then I can get more seeds going.

Ginagibbs mine are in a north facing room, light area window sill, cool ish room, chitting since the end of January, if nothing happening maybe bring them in doors in a cool room for a bit

here is some of my potato pics - hope that helps you

Oh my goodness, my back aches! I have been tieing the chicken wire to the bottom rail, digging, raking and PLANTING! This is on the new plot and it's the first plsnting we have done there image I popped into lidl this morning and picked up some snowball onion sets so I have put some of them in image it was so nice to feel the warmth of the sun on my skin, and working in a t-shirt, without a thick jumper and coat on too!

I am off to soak my back in the bath image

I've not started any seeds off yet, was gonig to start chillies, aubergines and a few  toms this weekend.

Looks like a nice stash of goodies Gg.

My spuds are in a room which gets alot of sun so they are out of direct sunlight, most are about the same as Gg's 1st earlies, although one batch has hardly got going yet. Bring them indoor ginagibbs, they do need a little warmth to get going.

I've some aspargus crowns in the same room which are beginning to grow in their bags. Was on the plot today preparing a bed for them. Made a good start digging over the top of the plot and moved a couple of pear tree's.
