Hello everyone. I’ve been off site for a day or so, so I’ll need to spend some time today catching up with what you’ve all been doing. (I forgot my password). Luckily Hubby remembered. 😳🤬
Well, I’ve read back and feel better. It’s really odd to read of your weather while I’m sitting here in short sleeves. Hubby is cutting grass. (Part of bushfire prevention work before hot weather hits us).
With regard to calcium intake, I always have goats cheese on my breakfast toast because it’s higher in calcium than cows milk. Also I really like it. 😜. Probably not enough for calcium problems, but a little bit to help. Worth thinking about.
We're now safely back home after a tortuous journey via Singapore and Munich. We were prepared for the cold when we got back so had hats, gloves etc in the hand luggage. We had left the car in a long stay car park at Heathrow so were home mid afternoon. The house was not warm, I left the heating on 10c but it's an old house and it takes a while for the solid stone walls to heat up (or cool down) but at least nothing was damp or frozen. We had an early night and after we have been to supermarket this morning I will have to wrap up and make a start on pruning the roses.
Good morning all ☕️ welcome back @Pat E 😊 and welcome home @Suesyn 😊
Fffffreezing cold here in Norfolk … I’ve just been watching the most glorious sunrise over the sea on the Cromer beach webcam 😎 whilst sipping coffee and listening to Albinoni on R3 … tge perfect start to a winter’s day …
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Good morning all. Our last full day in Hurghada. 25C forecast, so a day by the pool. I ran out of oil the day before I left, so my house will be freezing,and no hot water. I just hope the heating guys turn up on Monday morning as promised..
thank you ladies (I think it is ladies) for all the tips about calcium. I have an appointment with my GP on monday to discuss it. I didn't take it yesterday and this morning I am fine, so ..... This morning I have to brave the minus temps and go out to aquagym. Unfortunately if I don't move my pains get worse. But well done @tui34 on your discipline. I suggest you do the same today.
so sorry @AuntyRach to hear about your dad's fall. I hope it is not too bad. Hope your visit to the GP went well and that all is OK @Dovefromabove. Oh @Hostafan1 I hope you can brave the thermal shock.
I shall do the same (Cromer webcam) tomorrow morning, I was awake at 4 and read almost an entire book. Better get the swimcosy ready.
@Hostafan1's homecoming sounds like a horrible shock. I hope you have some electric heaters.
It's -4C in south Norfolk, so my phone tells me. I haven't been outside. The house is cold again as OH turned the heating off last night, but it isn't as cold as when we came back on Wednesday evening.
It will be a quiet day I think, TV, reading, ironing.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Good morning all, it's sunshiny but only3c after a very cold night again. Fortunately the house is toasty warm and I didn't have to get up early - OH bought me breakfast in bed. Not much to do today so more decluttering if I can get motivated. Hope you dad recovers well from his fall @AuntyRach, always a worry. That sounds a long, long journey @Suesyn, bet you're glad to be back home. Enjoy the heat while you can @Hostafan1, there are storms and high winds predicted for the west from Sunday thro to Monday so the house might be a trifle warmer than expected. I don't cope very well with cold weather so am looking forward to warmer temps.
Look after yourselves folks and enjoy the forthcoming weekend.

@Suesyn's homecoming sounds like ours.
