Sitting in the car in the NNUH car park ⦠OH is having an MRI scan on his bone peculiarities ⦠his appointment is for 7pm but was requested to arrive 20 mins early so weāve got the timing perfect. Heās been told to access radiology via Emergency Dept and park in the Emergency car park ⦠I thought that the car parks wouldnāt be full at this time of night but they all are⦠it seems that all NNUH depts are running virtually flat out 24/7. Iāve brought my book with me, and Iāve got you lot toĀ keep me company ⦠glad itās not as cold as it was yesterday š„¶Ā Also glad we live this side of the Thickthorn roundabout ⦠looks like thereās been a nasty smash ⦠thereās lots of blue flashing lights and barriers going up ⦠itās a tricky roundabout at the best of times with complex lane changes needed ⦠itās where the A11 and the A47 meet and thereās a lot of huge lorries hading from the Fens either towards London, the Midlands or the cargo ferries to Europe ⦠a huge and much-needed remodelling scheme involving a tunnel for traffic heading from the A11 to the A47E is planned ⦠I predict even more chaos for a few years šØ

Oh dear @Dovefromabove, I hope no one is hurt. The Thickthorn roundabout is near the park and ride that we use when we go to Norwich. I hope the scan is OK and that you don't get cold sitting in the car.
I'm glad you enjoyed your pub lunch with your friends @Lizzie27.Ā Ā
We've just been to the village pub down the road. It's so much livelier now it it has new owners. We met a nice man who paints houses. Our cottage needs painting, he's popping round on Tuesday. He's done quite a few in the village. Now waiting for dinner to cook.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Well that was quicker than expected ,,, OH had been told to allow for a 2 hour appointment but Ā weāre home already! The rice is Ā onfor the chilli ā¦

Glad the scan was over so quickly @Dovefromabove, hopefully your OH will hear his results promptly.
Lovely to have another visit from your son @Pat E, can you not compromise over TV programmes and share the viewing time, mind you I know my daughter would never watch the programmes that I enjoy, hence separate TV's in separate rooms for evening viewing as we are together chatting, interacting, cooking etc most of the day.
Useful people can often be found in the local pub @Busy-Lizzie, hope your nice man can do the required work for you.
Heās decided to visit tomorrow instead of today. Makes no difference to us. Thereās a Billy Connolly show tonight that I was planning to watch, so just as well he wonāt be here.š
Calm before the storm here⦠I hope it blows off course and we all miss it.Ā
Much fox action in the garden this last week. Mating season. Between the cats wanting early breakfast and the fox action, I am no stranger to 04:30 am at the moment. Luckily I can get back to sleep.Ā
I havenāt seen a heron for ages. Now our fish have gone (the fox took those 2 years ago when they all died suddenly after the heat wave), we donāt see it so often.Ā
Morning all, Itās relatively calm here at the moment, but I think itās just a lull before the storm reaches us. It got quite blustery through the night, but has eased off for now. Hope you manage your walk this morning @punkdoc before the bad weather hits us. Enjoy your sons visit tomorrow @Pat E.
