Morning to you @Pat E. How did your OH's meet up with your son go yesterday, I expect they enjoyed their time together, and as you said, it gave you some free time to yourself. What is your weather up to today? We seem to have just about survived a really nasty time with the storm Isha with today being calmer, but have now been told to expect another storm over the next couple of days. Not enjoying this winter I must say, roll on the Spring.

Hubby and our son have gone out looking for photo opportunities. Last heard they were somewhere near Nimitabel. Pixel and I are relaxing at home. 😏

I’m having trouble staying awake this afternoon. Keep nodding off in front of the tv. Ho hum!

    Morning all Forkers

it seems you are all OK after that storm. Quite a lot of problems in some areas. Hopefully the next one, Jocelyn? will be no trouble just a passing breeze.
It sounds lovely @D0rdogne_Damsel, I am sure all your guests will have a super time and you too of course! Congratulations on your 60th.

We seem to have a clear day today and not cold, I wonder if I will be able to amble in the garden a bit, it is very wet underfoot. I enjoyed the sun rise too partly looking out of my window and partly on the webcam in Cromer, no comparisons really but one has to be contented with one's lot. Hopefully I will get there again one day.
I am off to the Cheerfulness thread to see what Dove is up to. Thank you @AnnaB for pointing it out.

    Be safe.

    Thank you @coccinella 😊

it’s about time this family had something to celebrate. 😃

in other news, sons boss will be picking him up later this morning and taking him to Broomfield Burns Unit for laser surgery on the graft scarring on his right arm … hopefully that’ll allow him to get it straighter 🤞
He should be back later this evening … no idea when …

    Morning and G’Day all.

One storm has gone and we have heavy rain until this afternoon’s little storm appears.

Take care those out and about.

    Morning all.

I hope the laser surgery goes well @Dovefromabove.

I hope you have a great birthday party, @D0rdogne_Damsel, but I'm sure you will. Thank goodness your ex will be away.

Thank you @Lizzie27, I think the eye drops are working.

Logs for the wooburner are being delivered today and the house painting man who we met in the pub is coming to have a look.

I looked out of the bedroom window at 7.45am and the sky in the east was glowing pink. Then I went downstairs to make coffee and looked out to the west from the dining room winow and all the fluffy clouds were pink.

Then I looked at the east facing view from the bathroom window security camera of my French house and no pinkness. It was much lighter, sunrise had been earlier.
