Morning, @Pat E. We’ve had a couple of mild days, but it’s down to 2C again, although it is the middle of the night. Just woken up from another weird dream, and now worrying about some house repairs that need doing. I’m wishing I’d got out to the garden yesterday while it was dry and sunny. However, after meeting friends for breakfast out, and a two hour chat, then having a long walk before picking up our prescriptions on the way home, I ran out of time, energy and daylight. Just finished a lovely jigsaw puzzle based on Dickens characters. I see they sell similar ones on Jane Austen and Shakespeare, so that’s my birthday present list sorted for next month! Hope you can find a cool spot in the house! Give Pixel a hug from me, I do miss having a pet.
A shout for Monica Galetti who is a Samoan-born New Zealander and who has made a name with her lovely restaurant, Mere (pronounced Merry). I'd love to know what was on the menu @Allotment Boy - well - what you chose to eat.
It seems that some road blocks by the French farmers are being cleared this morning. I hope that gets as far as you @Obelixx I saw on the news this morning that they had sprayed liquid manure all over the Prefecture building @Busy-Lizzie !! Now that's revolting!!
Misty this morning but the sun has since riz and we are in for another splendidly sunny day. Again, the mercury hit 22°C - we will pay for this in March and April, I'm sure. Another cold spring with a probable late frost. And so goes the expression: Autant de bonnes journées en janvier, autant de mauvaises en mai!
Morning all. Another Birthday I think - what a celebratory weekend this is proving to be. Happy Birthday to @D0rdogne_Damsel, hope all your friends arrived safely and that you all have a wonderful day together on your special day.
Hope all those struggling with aches and pains find some improvement, just take it steady folks and give it time, no point in rushing things even if it is frustrating.
Trying to get myself together enough to make my Saturday trip down to the little local shop, but breakfast first.
Morning all, we seem to have moving fog this morning, one minute its there then its gone and then it's back again. I have to pick up a prescription this morning and then some more gardening after a coffee on the terrace. I see they are lifting the blockage on the A64 today which stopped me getting to my RDV this week and people getting to the airport on time. I think many of the ski runs will be closing in Pyrenees soon if this warm weather keeps up. You seem to be doing well with your exercising now @punkdoc but I bet there's less movement where the codeine is concerned!? Enjoy your day everyone!
Good morning all and many happy returns to all concerned 🎂!!
A sunny, if frosty, morning here. Had a bad night again: my fault because I thought of betraying my trusted Melvin to listen to another podcast which of course kept me awake. In case you want to know it was "things fell apart" by Jon Ronson on the origin of conspiracy theories. Oh boy. Well, don't go there, it will only depress you.
@Ergates I love that series of puzzles, I have Jane Austen and the world of the Brontes. A friend has the Shakespeare one which I will borrow soon. Hope your nightmares stop, sometimes it is just the brain doing a tidy-up. Or have dinner a little bit earlier 😘
Good morning everyone, we have a frost🥶 . It was all white here when we got up. A bit of an unfortunate twist to yesterday, OH'S younger daughter is in hospital undergoing tests. She had a prolonged dizzy spell, not sure of the reason.

Have a very pleasant weekend.
We slept in, as expected … it’s a beautiful bright morning here in Norfolk … coffee has arrived …
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
