Good morning (just). Happy birthday @Dovefromabove sun shines on the righteous 😇 SD released from hospital this morning, they had her on the stroke unit but luckily MRI ruled that out. Still not clear why she couldn't keep upright or walk straight, possibly reaction to virus plus fatigue.
I read that, I get The Connexion. It does affect our friends and thousands of British people in France. Automatic Visas should happen eventually for British people who own 2nd homes in France. It failed because of a technicality. Brexit caused thd problem in the first place. My OH would have to apply anyway as he doesn't own a home in France anymore. I am the owner of the home he would be staying in.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
My very best wishes to @Dovefromabove for a wonderful joy-filled Birthday! Enjoy your happy day with your loved ones. If it wasn't for you, this thread wouldn't exist, and this forum would be poorer without it in my humble opinion.
A belated Happy Birthday to @D0rdogne_Damsel , I hope you had a wonderful time, and I hope the date will go well for you.
Gale force winds and 3 metre waves here today but it shouldn't trouble the coastal defences too much.
The very good news is that my snowdrops are finally showing some signs of life (as recently as a few days ago they weren't).
Best wishes to all, as always.

You’re all lovely … thank you so much for your kind wishes ❤️
Ive a feeling this might be an alcofrolic birthday .., among my presents are a gorgeous little cut crystal liqueur glass and some delicious liqueurs … probably enough to last me until next birthday … and some very fine nougat … two of my weaknesses well catered for 🤭 … and Wonky has arrived armed with tools and is cutting back a few overly rampant bits before nesting season starts in earnest … ❤️

Wishing you a very Happy Birthday @Dovefromabove, it sounds as though your special day is already going with great celebration - you deserve every minute of it.
I think that it is @Busy-Lizzie 's no1 son who also has a birthday today, so sending best wishes in his direction too if I'm correct.
Happy New Year @Latimer! I'm in the same boat as you and think all I'll be able to do this year is keep the garden ticking over - once I've cleared it all.
Sounds like a frustrating day yesterday @Busy-Lizzie. Still waiting to hear what the benefits of Brexit are. If there are any, they don't outweigh the tremendous losses.
Sound like you are having a lovely day, @Dovefromabove. Many happy returns! Dry and grey here, but not too cold. Spent two and half hours in the garden this morning, chopped stuff down, and pulled up some brambles - so easy when the ground is soft and damp. Worked up quite a sweat, and hopefully stopped before pulling any muscles etc. Very satisfying. Just finishing a very late lunch, with a glass of red. I’ll hopefully be doing a zoom meeting with some school friends tonight, something to look forward to. I hope the technical side works ok.
