    Ouch @Hostafan1!

Can't linger here as have a zoom meeting to prepare for regarding what we can and cannot apply for in the way of arts council funding for our Festival.  Probably less than we hope.

    Good afternoon to everyone!

I  do hope that all the people experiencing the strong winds are all right and there's not too much damage to the property.

As I said in Wordle - not my day.  I had asked a lady to come this morning and run over the tiled floors for me.   She phoned to say that she had blocked her back so I did them myself.  Now I a bit sore - paying for it!

It is a fine sunny sort of overcast day with no wind today and we are expecting a high of 13°C this afternoon.  I so wish I could do a bit of gardening but after the floor effort, think I should take a back seat.  It can wait.  I need to prune my grapevines.

Today is Saint Vincent:  A la Saint Vincent, claire journée, nous annonce une bonne année.

     Stay safe, stay warm everyone.

Solar panels being fitted Wednesday, or tomorrow if they finish the current job today. I need to find a space for a HUGE water tank. They'll look at options when they arrive.
They can install the heat pump and radiators while we decide

Hello folks, safe and sound here although it didn't sound like it outside, quite scary.
Woke to 9.4c and sunshine but still a high wind.
Glad most people seem to have been ok with no or only minor damage reported. Managed a quick hour or so's gardening, putting one of my new plants in its pot temporarily and assessing where precisely it should go. Now happy with the result but more showers meant I've had to postpone mixing the compost and planting it properly.

Hope all the improvements go well @Hostafan1 before the next storm arrives.

Still windy at the moment, but the sun is out. Very noisy last night, but I slept through it. Only casualty is a conifer in a pot which got blown over, plastic pot and no damage. Our poor neighbour has had two birch trees blown towards the road. She had another tree blown down in the last storm, keeping the tree surgeons in business.
Quiet day at home. OH has a painful ankle, and sore to walk on, so I’m catching up on the laundry, bins to go out tonight, and some other boring chores. I was hoping to do a bit more gardening today, but every time I think about it, it starts raining!

Hello all. See I didn't post this morning. I read my book in bed this morning with my coffee so I must have been too engrossed!

The wind woke me up a few times in the night but there doesn't seem to be any damage.

I have an eye infection so OH drove me to the pharmacy for some drops. Then we took some wine from France to some friends and were asked in for coffee.

Wonderful news @Dovefromabove, many congratulations to all concerned (just read it on the Reason to be cheerful thread).

Sounds exciting @D0rdogne_Damsel, organisation should be a doddle for you with your track record! Sure it will be a great success.

Storm Isha seems to have abated here, enjoyed an hour in the garden between showers and hope to get out again tomorrow - Storm Joycelyn permitting!

Hope your eye infection clears up soon @Busy-Lizzie.
