Strong winds have arrived together with lashing rain. Expect it will get a lot worse before it moves on. Stay safe everyone when it arrives with you.

Keep your heads down and your hatches well-battened … especially you lot over in the west. It’s getting windy here in the east now, but you’re going to be in the teeth of it. Stay safe. 🤗 ☕️ 🍪

We seem okay here @Dovefromabove at the moment at least. Weather forecaster has recorded gusts of only 15.8 mph so far and the rain has lessened off. Noise was a bit scary and something has crashed over near the bathroom window but I think it's only my outdoor brush and dustpan set I keep there. Not going outside yet to find out!

Morning all. I hope your weather doesn’t get too wild. So here, it’s fine and sunny. Yesterday it was very windy all day, but the pine tree in front of the house isn’t even moving. Ho hum!
Hubby has taken the Ute into town for a rego check so our son has decided to meet him there instead of coming straight out to us here.  No doubt some refreshments will be consumed.
At least Pixel and i can please ourselves. 😁

Wind has finally more or less dropped here and rain nearly stopped, but it was not nice for several hours earlier on. Could hear things outside blowing about but will be waiting until morning before going out to do a check round.
Hope none of you are suffering too badly.

Morning all, as you will guess we are both still on Aussie time and are both awake in the middle of the night.
It was blowing quite hard last night but it didn't seem exceptional. Our neighbour has a large eucalyptus in their wooded garden which, although quite a way away, casts shade on our house and garden in winter when the sun is low. It's not a problem in the summer as the sun is at a higher angle. Every time we have a named storm I hope that this is the one which will bring it down but in the darkness this morning I can see it's still there.
All the other trees in their garden are deciduous (except the Leylandi hedge). They have some lovely trees but they have been there for many years and many have got a bit out of hand.
    OH well, maybe next time.

    Hi all
Very stormy overnight, can’t see if there has been any damage yet.
Off to see the terrorists today, hope they don’t beat me too much.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
hope everyone has weathered the night unscathed 🤞.

The wind woke me in the night but I don’t think it’s been too bad here … looking at the Cromer webcam  the sea is running ‘up the coast’ and I can see that high tide was very high indeed and I should think there may well have been a fair bit of cliff  erosion.

Hope physio goes well and you’re not too sore @punkdoc 😊

A bit blowy last night but nothing exceptional.

That is a nice fire @Hostafan1. If the heating was off during your week away than that must have saved some money. We now only heat the room we are in and when needed. Heating men turned up yet?

We are back to rain with temperatures raising to 9. It is so wet out there, I don't know when I will be able to go in the garden again. It's beginning to get me down this darkness and dampness.

I have a pot of thick minestrone on the go, should warm me up. Stay safe all.
