    Hi all
Definite signs of improvement yesterday, managed a 5 minute walk. Hopefully more of the same today.
Lovely message from WonkyW cheered me up.
Today I also need to try and negotiate the shower, which was no fun at all last time.

Meant to say yesterday, @Dovefromabove, no special Snowdrops, just nivalis and floro pleno, but over the years I have managed to get large swathes of them through many areas of the garden.
I would like to get a reliably early flowering variety, any ideas?

Hope you managed to nod aff again Ergatees.

its 5.40pm here and the air has gone very still and clouds are building up in the south. Maybe the predicted rain is coming after an uncomfortable, stuffy day.  Fingers crossed.

Got the fan going, but it doesn’t seem to be helping much. It’s still 26.6c in here. The trouble is that I’ve closed the windows because of the expected rain. Der!

Good morning all 😊 ☕️ Hello to @Pat E … hope it’s not too uncomfortable there in the heat.

It’s dry-ish and still-ish out there, and 3C according to the app. The app also has no rain showing in the forecasts for the next ten days 😃

@punkdoc 😊 I did notice that Broadleigh described one of the snowdrops as very early in the catalogue that arrived yesterday … I’ll have a look when I’m downstairs…

Coffee is on its way …

@punkdoc ive put some info on the Broadleigh snowdrops here

It seems that they’re selling up … I may have to treat myself to something special …. a pot of early snowdrops on the terrace would brighten the winter gloom …

    Good morning Forkers
I am happy some of you have seen some clear skies. It's still grey here but at least it's not raining. Got up early to put away the Christmas decorations. All boxed waiting for OH to take them down the cellar.
Hope you get sorted soon @Nanny Beach. You did the right thing to see a dermatologist.

@Ergates. I use a "knee" cushion too, like @WonkyWomble. Btw, you look gorgeous 😍.

    Good morning all.

Chilly here but no hard frost. I took my coffee back to bed this morning as why waste the bed warmth?

    I’m fancying some snowdrops now…

Go easy and have a good day folks.

Good morning everyone.  Afternoon @Pat E

The days are getting a little longer which is nice but it just reminds me of the stinking heat of summer as Pat is experiencing now.  Can't go out in the afternoon as it's too hot - even early evening.  As I get older, I find winters are easier to bear.  Yes, heating costs are astronomical but it's easier to put on more clothes and socks to keep warm than it is to try and cool off in the summer!

Yes @Nanny Beach   He "burns" them off with liquid nitrogen.  Leaves a blister then a red spot until it dries up.  I had a couple burnt off on the back of my hand.  I look like a leper!!  But it's no bother.

Great!!!  @punkdoc  walking is the best physio for hips and also best therapy for raising the spirits.  Both my hips are painful and I'm only taking anti-inflammatories if I need to go out, otherwise I'm just relaxing at home and watching the dust pile up!!  Are you getting any treatment @WonkyWomble for your aching hip?  Do you know what is causing it?  I'm going to phone my physio tomorrow to see if there are any exercises I can do to relieve my pain.  Methinks I have a pinched nerve.

@didyw   A wee bit early to start thinking of sowing seeds still i.e. tomatoes etc but like you, don't seem too motivated at the moment.  Hope to feel a little more enthusiastic next month.  Maybe some lettuces under plastic - if I can be bothered to rage the continuous battle against the snails.

The cold is yet to come but it is extremely windy.  I can ride my electric bike without pain, but yesterday I got a few gusts which made me wobble.  Don't need to fall now!!

Today is for the Raymonds on this site:  S'il gèle à la Saint Raymond,
                                                                  l'hiver sera encore long.

Have an enjoyable Sunday folks.  Stay safe.  Stay warm.
