I canāt believe that you had to go through all that to access your NHS records, @Lizzie27? All we had to do was fill in an online application via the practice website, and take in proof of address and photographic identification to the reception desk. They did take photocopies, so presumably my picture is now on file somewhere. Access did have to be approved by one of the doctors though, supposedly in case it would not be in our best interest Ā to see what was written. Or maybe the delay was to give them time to delete the derogatory remarks!Ā I can understand your irritation at OHs visit with his cyst. 6 weeks will give plenty of time for any infection to clear up, and for it to get infected again, and need a different antibiotic! Oh well.Ā
Morning everyone. Well this morning,Hubby beat me getting up because of a phone call, so he has opened the veranda windows. The temp out there is 34, so a bit more bearable and thereās an occasional breeze. Iām too old for this stuff.
Good morning all š āļøĀ Hope everyone got some sleep eventually 2C here and frosty⦠but down in Suffolk where @WonkyWomble is itās -2C. š„¶Ā
Gardening in Central NorfolkĀ on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
It's raining! Ā I never thought being from Auckland, I would be so happy to see rain. Ā It started off yesterday afternoon as light rain, now it is steady. Ā I hope it will enough for the sheep and goat farmers to see some vegetation emerge.
I hope your DIL's efforts are not in vain @Lizzie27 Ā Modern technology can be handy but also hair-pulling when it goes awry.
Ā Sounds like a good plan @Busy-Lizzie . Ā Is this the first time you family will have visited you in Norfolk? Ā Sleeping arrangements will sort themselves out - meals will be busy!!
Ā How did your appointment go yesterday @punkdoc ? Ā I am also intrigued to know about how the operation went under local anaesthetic. Ā Did you hear everything?
Glad your bulbs have sprouted. Ā Hopefully some colour soon to cheer up the dismal days. Ā @Badly_Maintained
I had a physio appointment yesterday after I finally rang her to tell her of my misfortune. Ā She felt and pressed and thinks I have overstretched the adductor muscles and touched the femoral nerve. Ā I had a gentle massage and some heat pads to relieve. Ā Nothing much to do except rest with hot water bottle on thigh and let nature take its course. Ā I was relieved. Ā X-rays to come next week (not that x-rays will show up muscle damage or inflammation) but more for the surgeon to verify that nothing has moved. Ā She left it to my discretion as to whether to take anti inflammatories etc. which doesn't speed up recovery just gives relief if I have to go to SM etc.
So inside things today with this rain. Ā I have a good book and watching too many series - getting a bit bored now and noticing all the things that "need doing" around the house.
@tui34 when we had the previous smaller cottage both my daughters came for holidays but we weren't there with them. We couldn't all fit into that cottage. OH bought our present cottage in 2018 and the family haven't been to stay yet. Covid stopped 2 arranged visits. Daughters only have 3 children, Son 2 has 5.
Another cold and gloomy morning, but it's not snowing and it isn't frosty.
We are going to the Gardeners' Club New Year lunch today in a local restaurant.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Hello 1 degree? Minus 2? Beginners!! Minus 6 at the moment here but the blue sky is a treat after 3 months of rain.Ā
@Busy-Lizzie as a kid I loved sleeping on the floor with allĀ my cousins at granny's. Ooops this may not sound right š¤£š¤£ but yes they will love it.
I did go to aquagym yesterday, I had to come out of the pool twice for toilet but so did others. In the end it was ok but bitterly cold walking back home.Ā
@tui34 Hopefully the x-ray won't show anything wrong. If you benefitted from the massage go and have another one. Keep warm and rest, gardening books at this time of year are a comfort I think.Ā
Good morning all.... blimey it's cold here!! Frozen solid bird baths, chrisp white frosty ground..... Not a fun day to be a gardener!!!!Ā Think I'd like to go to Egypt with @Hostafan1 instead!!!! Take care out there folks....or even better, stay in!!!
