Just got an e-mail checking availability for poll card delivering ahead of May elections (local). Could be good with a general election later in the year as well. I can pretend I'm a postie again and not accept any more 'proper' work in 2024
I've just snuck out for 20 mins and have to admit that, if I was out any longer, I might need to don some gloves. No coat required though - it ain't that cold
Potted on a couple of salvia hotlips cuttings that are growing nicely indoors. I hadn't realised how many had taken as I've had them dotted around everywhere. The earlier, bigger ones are outside and looking ok and I've not got 3 smaller ones on the office windowsill. They're on the planting list for spring when I start to fill up the barren wasteland out the front.
Well its 0°C here at the moment so I hope you've got your Hot Lips protected from any severe frost @Biglad. I am going to the grand final of the Quiz league tonight in Bolton. It should be a good night and I'm being picked up so that is a plus point too. We are not in the final of course but there is a buffet and table quiz for our entertainment.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
At last the man came to replace the cracked glass of the double glazed dining room window. They did the quote in September, had an appointment to do it on 19th December, broke it and now it's done in the nick of time!
I've pruned the grape vine, tidied up the bed under it and cut down some of the tatty perennials in the Jewel bed. Must go and pack.
