Morning folks. Heavy frost over night. Have just been out to open side gate for chappie coming this morning(; to replace outside security light) and it's minus 5🥶🥶 Artic......
At hospital this afternoon with the specialist for a review. I hope I get signed off from him.
SIl advised that daughter is in hospital with pneumonia😲😕

Hazel I am feeling a little better thank you for asking .Whatever I have had it’s been quite horrid .
I hope my OH doesn’t get it .
Sorry to read about SIs daughter i hope she makes a quick recovery.Good luck at the hospital this afternoon. Do take care all those travelling. We had snow last night ,now it’s frozen .I live halfway up a steep hill .Sometimes we get snowed in.Take care everyone .

Finally no snow but woke up to freezing rain. Hate this even more. Luckily I am working from home today but hubby had to take the car out. I think the fritters have been working all night as most roads are apparently clear. My poor plants were all coated in a hard covering like glass this morning. It says it will thaw during the day but predicted snow or more freezing rain tonight (depends which forecast you believe!).

hope everyone’s travels are safe today and good luck with hospital visits, they are always worrying.

Rubee glad to hear you’re getting better. Yes it definitely sounds like you’ve had a nasty something-or-other. Take care and stay warm. Daughter is on drip for antibiotics but she seems in good spirits thanks.
@Jacquimcmahon, similar here with things in the garden rock hard. We had a change of plan this morning ( “ light “chappy is held up on another job and coming tomorrow now)- we popped to SM and luckily OH drive. I don’t like driving in these conditions.
Wonder how @Ante1is faring? Hope all is well with him and pets.

    Hello Hazel, Ruby and @Jacquimcmahon.
Wow Hazel, that is a very low temperature. The sun is out here but it is not carrying a great deal of warmth. Still, that with the blue skies is making it look very pleasant through the windows.
I am so sorry to hear about your daughter, Hazel. Worrying times for you all. Fingers crossed all goes well - and with your appointment this afternoon.
Good to read that you are improving every day Ruby. I always think it is harder to shake off bugs at this time of year when you have less chance of getting out into the garden.
@Jacquimcmahon fingers crossed that your plants recover after the frosting they have had.

We've had a delivery today but don't know where the parcel has been left. We popped out for half an hour only, very early, and it was delivered then.  Talk about Sods Law😕 I've been to all but two neighbours to no avail so am hoping it's at one of the absent neighbours.

Goodness me how frustrating for you Hazel. I hope that you manage to track it down. Can you get the picture they took up on one of your devices after they did the delivery?

Yes, I have finally brought up the delivery app and have seen the photo. I know the address now where it's been left, on the front door step. It's not there now so hope someone has taken it inside or else it's been stolen😡 Fingers crossed.
Off to hospital now, oh joy.😕

Quick review appointment done with specialist( to see him again in 3 years time unless PR flares up again)  who then sent me for blood tests and an x ray. All done pretty quickly so back home now. Glad that's over, the hospital was heaving and we were very lucky to secure a car space. We were there right on visiting time.

Made two trips to a grit box earlier - got enough to cover/clear the road in front of ours and next door. If half the houses on the street did half of what I've done, the entire road would be clear, but they won't. So it isn't :(

Hopefully, eldest will make it all the way home without having to dump the car and walk. The main road is lined with many that have resorted to that. You need a good run with nothing coming down. Stop halfway and you're doomed!
